personality If you described the Doctor as "silly" you would be pretty accurate, though he might take offense to the term. He's cheerful, earnest, and determined, with more bravery than sense and more personality than he really has room for. He's almost unfailingly in a good mood, except when he decides to start worrying about/angsting over/blaming himself for the Last Time War. He knows chaos follows in his wake -- or rather sits around and waits for him to get there -- and has resigned to, but not accepted, the fact that people often seem to die around him. He's supremely protective of the people he loves, and he forms attachments very quickly.
miscellaneous bananas are good {great source of potassium}. his screwdriver is sonic. lots of planets have a North. oh, and he travels in time.
history the Doctor doesn't like to talk about his past very much; what he has mentioned is that his planet was at war with the Daleks, and that the war resulted in the destruction of both races. He's the sole survivor. He travels throughout space and time in an attempt to prevent destruction and disaster, and perhaps find his true purpose as well.
